A Loving Alternative Adoption Service is an adoption facilitation service located in Southern California. We work with adopting couples and birth parents throughout the country. We offer a unique service not typically provided by adoption attorneys or agencies. Our role in the adoption process is focused 100% on locating women that are considering adoption and presenting them with couples looking to adopt. We run extensive multi-state advertising geared toward locating potential birth parents. We are neither an agency nor an attorney, however we work with reputable adoption attorneys and agencies throughout the United States.

A Loving Alternative Adoption Service is owned and operated by Jim & Cindy Simonson. We started A Loving Alternative Adoption Service in 1994, after we adopted our beautiful daughter. Through our own experience we realized that, although there are many wonderful adoption attorneys and agencies, very few of them provide adopting couples with an aggressive program to locate potential birth mothers. We designed our service to fill this void and to shorten the time people wait to adopt their child.

Through our advertising efforts we are able to assist couples in achieving their goal to adopt. When working with A Loving Alternative Adoption Service you can expect personalized service. We listen to our client's goals and dreams for adoption and we then assist them in fulfilling those dreams by networking them to birth mothers who fit their criteria.

When a birth mother calls we listen to her, in a caring and non-judgmental way, about why she is considering adoption and about what characteristics she is looking for in an adoptive couple. Based on this information, we send her our appropriate client’s “Dear Birth Mother Letters.” Birth mothers review these letters to help them choose the adoptive parents for their child.

We only work with 20 to 25 active clients at a time; consequently, each client receives maximum exposure for their advertising dollars. Our average wait, to be selected by a birth mother, is 6 months for couples without children and 9 to 12 months for couples with a child. Our Adoption Advertising Retainer Agreement is good for three years.
