Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter! We understand what a difficult decision you are facing and we admire your courage. As you learn more about who we are, we hope that you will consider our home for your baby. We have felt a strong calling to build our family through adoption. Our son Dylan joyfully came into our lives through open adoption and we are excited to expand our family once again. Dylan was the most precious gift we’ve ever received! We have a special relationship with Dylan’s birth family and we remain in contact with them through letters, pictures and occasional visits. We understand each situation is unique and we would respect whatever level of openness you are comfortable with.

About Us
We fell in love ten years ago and have been happily married for six years. We are true soul mates and best friends! We have enjoyed creating a close-knit family with Dylan and a home that is filled with love, support, laughter and fun! We’re a very active bunch with a special love for the outdoors. We enjoy a variety of activities together including taking long hikes, skiing, swimming at a nearby pool, going to the beach or the zoo. We also like to simply relax at home and garden, read, play with Dylan in our yard or get together with family and friends for a barbeque. Travel is another passion and we have visited many diverse places. We plan to share these same experiences with our children.

Stephanie is a warm, caring and down-to-earth person who LOVES being a stay-at-home Mom! She is a fun loving mother and devotes lots of time and energy into planning varied and interesting activities with Dylan. She and Dylan spend their time together at the park, meeting other children for play dates, Gymboree and going to music class. At home she and Dylan sing songs, read books, build with blocks or simply giggle! When she can find the time, she volunteers with a non-profit organization in Silicon Valley that gives grants to educational, healthcare and environmental organizations.

Steve is a warm-hearted person who is very dedicated to family and children. Dylan is a big priority and they create their own special time together where they walk around and enjoy nature, play in the sand, or go out for breakfast. Steve spent most of his career as an entrepreneur. He founded two high tech companies that he ran for twelve years. He recently sold them both which has created both the financial security and time to devote himself to his real passions: family and non-profit work. He currently consults with non-profit organizations that serve the environment and spiritual communities. He works from home and enjoys the extra time he can spend with family.

Dylan is a happy little guy who is always on the go. He enjoys being around people and waves to everyone at the grocery store. He likes to play hide-and-seek with Dad around the house and go hiking on his back. He also loves to go to the park with Mom and to the local pool to splash around. His favorite part of the day is the time between dinner and bedtime when the three of us have our nightly family time when we read books, throw the ball to each other and “wrestle” around on the floor! Dylan will make a great big brother!

Our Home & Family

We are extremely family oriented and have a very close relationship with both sides of the family. We both grew up in very loving homes. Steve comes from a large family with seven brothers and sisters. Stephanie grew up nearby with her Mom, Dad and sister (who was adopted at birth). Family get togethers are an important part of our lives. We value our time with our parents, brothers and sisters and their kids. The many young children in the family make reunions that much more special. We have twelve nieces and nephews who can’t wait to welcome another cousin! All of our family members who live nearby are actively involved in Dylan’s life and are looking forward to spending time with a new baby in our family.

We live in a beautiful house on a gated cul de sac in a suburb south of San Francisco. There are five homes on our street that are filled with young children so our kids will have lots of peers to pal around with. Our neighborhood includes common property with many trees and grassy areas where we enjoy watching the deer, birds and other wildlife. We love the beauty and diversity of the Bay Area and its close proximity to parks, beaches and cultural activities.

Raising a Family

We will provide our children with a loving, joyful and stable home. We are dedicated to helping our children get an excellent education, become self-confident, and to pursue their own unique passions and interests. Our kids will be raised in a spiritual environment which includes prayer, a relationship with God and giving back to the community. We will share with our children the loving and courageous decision involved in their adoption and the special place that we all hold in our hearts for them.

We would welcome the opportunity to share more about ourselves and learn more about you. Please contact our adoption facilitator, Cindy Simonson, toll free at 1-800-556-5635. Thanks for considering us and best wishes as you make the decision that’s right for you!

With lots of love,
Steve & Stephanie
